My bookclub just read Peace Like a River by Lief Enger. It wasn't really my style of book, but it is good enough to own. I actually only read 1/2 of it by our discussion time, but listening to the others talk about it made me want to finish the rest of it.

It's definitely worth finishing, even if you only ever read it the one time. It's the first modern fiction I've read in a LONG time and got all the way through without feeling totally offended by something or other. :)
